Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is the son of Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan and nephew of the great Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and also the grandson of Pakistani Qawwali singer Fateh Ali Khan. He was born on December 9, 1974, into a family of classical singers and Qawwals in Faisalabad (Faisalabad is the 3rd-most-populous city in Pakistan and the second-largest in the eastern province of Punjab). Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a famous Pakistani singer, musician, Qawwal, and Playback Singer as well.
